Houston County Courier - Jan. 18, 2004 Obit for Fate B. Brasher Mr. Fate B. Brasher, age 91 of Lovelady, passed away Friday, January 9, 2004 in the East TX Medical Center-Crockett. Mr. Brasher was born March 5, 1912 in Mexia and had been living in Lovelady. Mr. Brasher was a member of the Pipe fitters Local Union #211 and a member of the Lovelady Masonic Lodge. Mr. Brasher was a retired pipe fitter and was also a member of the First Baptist Church-Lovelady.
Survivors include his son Ron Brasher and wife Christine, of Wimberley; Brandon Brasher, of Fort Worth, Devon Brasher, of San Antonio, Lacy Brasher Johnson, of League City, Jason Brasher, of Houston; great-grandchildren Jason Ryan Brasher, of League City; sister Myrtle Townes, of Kingsland; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Dorothy Brasher in 2002; and son Jerry Brasher in 1997. Graveside funeral services for Mr. Fate B. Brasher were held Tuesday, January 13, at 2:00 p.m. in the Lovelady Antioch Cemetery with the Rev. Scott Matthews officiating. Interment followed. Callaway-Allee Funeral Home
