Mr. Howard, 86, of Meridian, died Saturday April 2, 2011 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and a member of the Gideons International. He spent 15 years in the space program in Huntsville, AL. Later he retired from Steward Machinery Company in Birmingham, AL. He was also a United States Navy Veteran.
Survivors include Wife, Gladys C. Howard of Meridian, Son, Fred Smith of Meridian, Sister, Betty Jefferys of Birmingham, AL. Sister-in-law, Doris Glisson of Louisiana, three grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by, Father, Jepthy Howard, Mother, Viola Howard, Brother, Almond Howard, and Brother, F.A. Glisson. Pallbearers will be members of the Gideons International. Honorary Pallbearers will be Oak Grove Men’s Adult Sunday School Class. Meridian Star, Meridian, MS
