Rex Bressler was born at St. Francis, Kan., on Jan. 3, 1948 to Ernest O. Bressler and Cora Hope Miller Bressler. He attended Bird City High School and graduated in 1966.
He married Terri Graham at Arkansas City in 1979. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of the First United Mthodist Church of Happy and Amarillo Racing Pigeon Club.
He owned and operated the Auto Agri and Machine Shop in Bird City until 1983. He moved to Wakita, Okla., and was employed at the Case Implement Co., until 1989 and then moved to Ceta Canyon where he was employed at the Methodist Camp as maintenance technician.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sari Stark; his father, Ernest Bressler and a brother, Robert Bressler.
Survivors include wife, Terri of the home; daughters, Heather Jones, Warner Robins, Ga., Addie Bressler and Ivy Bressler of the home; sons, Scott Bressler, Ralls, Texas, Ben Bressler of the home; mother, Hope Bressler, Bird City; sister Shryll Behn, Evergreen, Colo.; and one granddaughter.
Graveside service was at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7 at Bird City Cemetery with Rev. Don Zook, retired minister, officiating. A Praise and Worship Service was at 4 p.m. Sept. 9 at Ceta Canyon in Garrison Hall with Rev. John Baird officiating.
