Portage resident Donna M. Peterson died Sunday, July 20, 2003 at Porter memorial Hospital, Valparaiso. She was 68.
Born on June 24, 1935 in Hobart, she was the daughter of Frank A Bednar and Beulah Lucienda Blunk, both of whom preceded her in death.
She is survived by a daughter Shelia Riegle (Husband Thomas W.) of Valparaiso; brothers Frank (Genieva) Bednar of Tennessee and Clarence Bednar of Valparaiso; sisters Esther Marie (Dallas) Baugher of Warsaw, Ind., and Doris Jean Bednar of New Hampton, N. Y.; sister-in-law Betty Marie Peterson of Chesterton; Grandchildren Tina Renea (John) Riegle Vaclavik; and great-grandchildren Layssa Anne and Bryana Lee Vaclavik.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by grandchild Lori Anne Riegle.
A lifetime Portage resident, she was a self-employed escort driver until she retired on Nov, 1984. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and the Daughters of America and a former member of the American legion Women's Auxiliary in Chesterton.
Funeral services will be at noon Thursday, July 24 at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel, 691 Central Ave., Portage. Interment will be in Heritage Crematory, Portage. visitation will be from 10 a.,. until the time of service on Thursday at Edmonds & Evans funeral Home Portage Chapel. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 7363 E. 21 st, Indianapolis, In. 46219
