Gary Lynn Ediger, 53, of Longmont, Colorado, died at Longmont United Hospital on July 2, 2006.

Gary was born on June 23, 1953 in McPherson, Kansas, to Leonard and Donna (Hurley) Ediger. He grew up and attended school in Longmont. Gary married Marcia Maness in Longmont on January 19, 1975.

Gary was an automotive service consultant working at Hajek Chevrolet in Longmont for over two years and has worked at McCaddon's in Boulder for the last seventeen. Gary enjoyed spending time with family, fishing, golfing as well as traveling with his wife in recent years. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed the Broncos, Avalanche, and the Rockies. He also enjoyed NASCAR racing and collecting sports memorabilia.

Gary was preceded in death by his father, Leonard, in 1996.

He is survived by his wife, two sons, a daughter, his mother, two sisters, three grandchildren and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. (Names withheld for privacy.)

A memorial service in celebration of Gary's life will be held on Friday, July 7 at 2:00 p.m. at Welch Lake west of Berthoud at the corner of Larimer County Roads 10E and 19. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Howe Mortuary and Crematory.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to The Gary Ediger Memorial Fund and sent to the Boulder Valley Credit Union, 5505 Arapahoe, Boulder, Colorado 80303.
