Troy was in the U.S. Army in WWII and then worked for the logging industry until his retirement. He was married to Viola Williams. In 1963 Troy bought a home in the town of Klamath River along Highway 96.
He and his wife, Viola raised their family there. He had two sons: Michael Huff and James Huff. He also raised three step-children: Teresa Thompson, Roger and Walter Malena.
His ashes are scattered in his favorite hunting spot along Beaver Creek in Klamath River.
Cremated, Ashes scattered.
