Norfolk - Audrey Dale Hangsleben, 91, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 15, 2013 at Kindred Harbour Pointe Medical Center. Born in Canton, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Bertha Hendrix, and was the widow of Richard K. "Hank" Hangsleben. Audrey was a former member of the Ladies Auxillary of the V.F.W., Post 3160.
She is survived by a daughter, Alicia Vanderwood Brown of Richland, N.C.; and a son, Carl A. "Hank" Hangsleben of Hawaii.
A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 in Forest Lawn Cemetery. H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel is handling arrangements. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.hdoliver.com
