Autumn Marie Jenkins, 20, of Nanjemoy, MD died April 28, 2015 in Nanjemoy.

She was born July 13, 1994, in Baltimore, MD.

Miss Jenkins graduated from Henry E. Lackey High School, Class of 2012. She was a member of the Nanjemoy Volunteer Fire Department as a Firefighter. She was employed at Dorchester Pool as a Pool Manager and the Humane Society of Charles County as a Tech. Her special accomplishments included being a firefighter, lifeguard, water safety instructor and pool manager. Her hobbies and activities included fishing, hunting, spending time with her dog Si and any other animal that she came in contact with and spending time with family and friends. Her family, her fiancée and all kinds of animals gave her the most enjoyment in life. She was most proud of her Lifeguarding and Firefighting Certifications, 9/11 Memorial Firefighter Challenge Stair Climb in Honor of Firefighter Joseph G. Hunter of Squad 288 and graduating with Presidential Honors. She was a loving fiancée, daughter, granddaughter and friend.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Mary Jenkins.

She is survived by her father, Thomas Jenkins; mother, Becky Smail; step-parents, Shannon Stebbins and Frank Smail Jr.; fiancée, Matthew Hartnett; grandparents, Joseph Jenkins and Donald and Dolly Penn; step-siblings, Brianna Franklin, Korbin Hubbard, John Bogart and Richard Stebbins, Jr.; aunts and uncles, JoAnn, Joey and Wanda Jenkins, Tina and Gerald Shannon, Jason Penn and Kaycie and Brandy Penn; and cousins, Barbara, Wesley and Denise Jenkins, Katelyn, Bradley and Mason Shannon and Hunter, Dylan and Jayce Penn.

A memorial service was held at Nanjemoy Volunteer Fire Department, 4260 Port Tobacco Road, Nanjemoy, MD. Visitation was Monday, May 4, 2015 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Prayers started at 6:30 pm with fireman’s prayers at 7:00 pm. The members of the Nanjemoy Volunteer Fire Department stood guard.
