Bonnie G. McMains, 83, of Arkansas City died Monday, September 2, 2013 at the Presbyterian Manor.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Arkansas City. Interment will follow at Braman Cemetery in Braman, Oklahoma. Reverend Laurie Lewis will officiate.
Bonnie was born November 24, 1929 to George W. Lanum and Helen Beatrice (Chancellor) in Cass County, Nebraska. She married Floyd (Mac) McMains on November 3, 1951 and they lived in several states while Mac served in the Air Force. They moved back to Arkansas City in 1967. Bonnie was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church where she served on the Altar Guild for decades. She also served many years with the South Central Kansas Medical Center Auxiliary.
Bonnie is survived by her son Randall McMains and his wife Patricia, as well as her grandchildren Ian and Julia, all of Arkansas City; also by her sisters Avis Gilson of Papillion, Nebraska and Barbara Krejci of Louisville, Nebraska.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband in 2006 and by her brothers Bruce and Ray Lanum and her sister Alice Lanum.
A memorial has been established with Trinity Episcopal Church in Arkansas City.
