Fred Kessler, President of Anchorage Construction Management in Carson City, passed away on Nov. 22, 2012 after suffering a heart attack.

Fred was born in Queens, N.Y. on March 30, 1948. He attended Ithaca College in Ithaca, N.Y. and received his BS degree in Construction Management from the California State University, Chico.

Fred loved building and got his start on Nantucket Island. He spent many years working in Alaska. He completed Welding and Millwright certifications and Carpenter's Union apprenticeship in Oregon and Alaska and worked on the Alaska Pipeline project.

Fred is predeceased by his parents, Irving Kessler, Frieda Graeser Kessler; and his brother, Robert Kessler.

He is survived by his wife, Eileen Liberty Kessler of Carson City; his nephew, Robert E. Kessler Jr.; and many cousins on the Kessler and Graeser sides of his family.

Fred was active in the Democratic Party and interested in his local community. He will be missed by his family and friends. At his request, his ashes will be scattered over the waters of Nantucket Sound.
