This is my Mother. Some of the things that I remember about her are her love for flowers she grew African Violets and many other kinds of flowers and shrubs she had a green house and she had many different kinds of plants cactus we had lots of roses in our yard. She was a faithful Christian who could play the piano and sing we used to get around the piano with her and sing gospel "southern" and have a lot of fun too.
She was generous kind.
She was Born In Hodge Louisiana on 25 of Sept. 1925 in Jackson Parish, Louisiana. Her Father was William Edward "Ed" Whitman 1891-1971 Her mother was Sarah Martha Aldy Whitman 1895-1970 She was Married to J.Levon Hinton Sr. "Levon" when he was young they called him Johnny as they did Me. They were Married May 2, 1947 in Hodge La. She passed away into Eternity May 20 1992 in the Lincoln General Hospital in Ruston La. She died from complications from a Long standing battle with Rheumatoid Arthritis. She is survived by her Husband Levon Hinton, a daughter Ellen Hinton James, son John L. Hinton Jr. son Monty L. Hinton. 7 grandchildren and many friends and family.
