Helen Lucille Hermansdorfer Logsdon, departed this world on April 30, 2013, after a long illness. She was born on October 16, 1929. She was a graduate from Huntington High School and Marshall College. She was a retired teacher from Kanawha County Schools.
When she was able, Lucille was an avid bridge player and artist. She was a member of Bream Memorial Presbyterian Church, where she once enjoyed playing handbells, singing in the church choir, organizing the library and began a senior citizen bridge group.

Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Logsdon. She was also preceded in death by her parents, John and Gladys Hermansdorfer; and brothers, Jim and David Hermansdorfer.

She is survived by her children, John (Karen) Logsdon, Jeff (Melody) Logsdon and Mary Ellen Logsdon. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Scott, Aaron, Paul and James Logsdon.

There will be a service to celebrate Lucille's life at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 15, 2013, at St. Paul Lutheran Church (located at the corner of Lee and Beauregard streets). The service will be followed by a reception.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Covenant House, ASPCA, the Haiti Medical Mission Trip c/o First Presbyterian Churh of South Charleston or the charity of your choice.
