Shelly D. Childers, 51, of Girard, Kansas, died at 2:50 p.m., Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at her residence.
She was born June 21, 1964 in Girard a daughter of Donald B. and Sherry D. (LaForge) Bauder. Shelly was a lifelong resident of Girard and she worked in the Girard and Pittsburg areas. She later worked as an office manager at the Fort Scott Community College in Pittsburg, Kansas.
Shelly enjoyed her family and especially her grandchildren, her houseplants, and cooking.
Survivors include her companion, Kent Livingston, of Girard; a daughter, Brooke Totman, and her companion, Chrystofer Stewart, both of Parsons, Kansas; a son, Travis Beckley, and his companion, Megan Love, both of Pittsburg; her grandchildren, Adelyn Martin, Ryker Totman, Jackson Beckley, and Jeremy Beckley; her sisters, Nancy Lemieux, and her husband, Troy, of Girard and Kristie Bauder, and her husband, Tim Milborn, of Girard, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Shelly was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Jamie Martin.
As were her wishes, Shelly has been cremated and private family services will be at a later date.
Memorials are suggested to assist the family with final expenses and these may be left at the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home, 518 W St. John, Box 258, Girard, 66743.
