Geneva's husband Randlett; parents; two brothers, George Bates and Sam Bates; and one sister, Pearl Bates Keyes; preceded her in death.
Geneva is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was raised and lived much of her life in Anadarko.
She and her husband, Randy "Frosty" Edmonds, moved to Lawrence. Kansas, and worked at Haskell Institute from 1958 to 1976.
They had made their home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, since their retirement from Haskell.
Geneva is survived by Randlett Edmonds, Jr. of San Diego, California; Margie Deer, Donna Williams, Michael J. Edmonds, all of Oklahoma City; 20 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
A prayer service was held at 7 p.m., Sunday, January 8, 2012, at the J.J. Methvin Memorial United Methodist Church in Anadarko.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, January 9, 1012, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, also in Anadarko. under the direction of the Steverson Funeral Home in Anadarko.
