Betty married Cecil Gage, a young U.S. Marine, also from Anadarko, in California on December 19, 1954.
Cecil's military service took them to many parts of the United States, and a long tour of duty in Hawaii.
Betty was a homemaker, wife, sister, mother, and wonderful grandmother. She was an avid reader and loved to sew and crochet. She made all of her clothes and special shirts for Cecil.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Emma Jane, Ruth Trotter, and an infant sister; two brothers, Walter and J.C. McDonald.
Survivors include two sons and their families, Melvin and Beth Gage, their daughters Erin and Ella; Eric and Bonnie Gage, their children Adam and Zoe; five sisters, Xuma (Marvin) Schlegel, Francis (Sam) Milam, Linda (Leroy) Love, Katie (Larry) Forster, and Jessie Greer; two brothers, Ben (Faye) McDonald, and Ford (Janet) McDonald; one brother-in-law, Charles (Phyllis) Gage; and sister-in-law, Lavon (James) Monk; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
Betty requested that she be cremated and no funeral services be held.
