Maria Ellen Duffy of Mahopac, NY passed away on Wednesday September 3, 2014 at the age of 67. She was born on May 18, 1947 in the Bronx the daughter of Phillip and Nicola Farella Diorio.

She was a teacher and founder of the St. John's Play Group in Mahopac, was on the Mahopac School Board for many years and dedicated a lot of her time to MSA Soccer.

Maria is survived by her children Dorann (Larry) Morra and Joseph Duffy, brothers Phillip (Ann Marie) and Richard (Gina), sisters-in-law Dorothy and Mary, cousins Christine, Jeffrey, Michaelann and Keith, grandchildren Tyler, Hailey, Emily and Nicole and best friend's Liz and Christina Vogel. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph and grandson Larry Jr.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 am at St. John The Evangelist Church in Mahopac.
