"Private Roy H Perry enlisted in the US Army on 15 August 1900 at Fort Ethan Allen, Vermont. Upon enlistment private Perry was assigned to Company D, 11th Infantry Regiment and was serving in the Philippines where he died from dengue fever. Prewar Private Perry's occupation is listed as musician and he was described as 5'4'' with blue eyes, light brown hair and a fair complexion."
