Sarah Maria (Edwards) Peach was the daughter of William Ruffin Edwards and Sarah Darling. She was born March 13, 1858, at Rotherhithe, London, England. On October 8, 1876, she married Edwin Peach at St Jude's, Whitechapel, London, England. They were parents of 10 children for whom the names are known: Sarah Esther, Edwin William George, Alice Maude, Albert Richard, Arthur William, Daisy Beatrice, Harold, Stanley Archibald, Francis Victor and Leonard Vincent. According to the 1911 census record, Sarah was the mother of 14 children altogether. Nine were living in 1911. Her sons Harold, Stanley, Victor and Leonard all served as soldiers in WWI. Sarah died on Saturday, April 14, 1917 and was interred at City of London Cemetery, Ilford.
