Veda R. Bachus, 82, Logan, died Saturday, Feb. 22 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
Born Oct. 19, 1920, Wesley, Ark., daughter of the late Willis and Cora Drake Duncan, she was the widow of John L. Bachus.
Her loving attributes were that she was a loving wife and mother and a true friend to so very many people. She enjoyed playing cards, quilting and making crafts.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Gordon (Veda J.) Harris of Michigan, Mrs. Ted (Joan) Salomons of Johnstown and Debbie Champ of Reynoldsburg; two sons, John W. (Kristy) Bachus of Minnesota and Brian J. (Heather) Bachus of Alabama; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Earl (Mildred) Duncan of Wesley, Ark.; a sister, Mrs. Jasper (Helen) Varnes of Missouri; three special friends, Corene Callendar; Cozetta Grim and Katie Davis, all of Logan; and countless nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by three brothers, Afton, Otis and Braden Duncan.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Cardaras Funeral Home, Logan, with the Revs. Charles Duncan and Jimmy Duncan officiating.
Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Perry County.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 Wednesday at the funeral home.
