BECK, Wilma Jean Age 78 passed away June 6, 2013, in Lancaster, Calif. She was born July 11, 1934, in Springdale, Arkansas. Jean moved to Boron, as a young child. She attended grammar school in Boron and then went on to graduate from Antelope Valley High School class of 1951. Jean was crowned Miss Boron in 1950. She was a Cub Scout Leader for many years and a member of 'the Mother Singers' singing group. Jean is survived by her husband William Beck of Lancaster, two sons, David Beck and his wife Diane of Lancaster, Bryan Beck and his wife Karen of Albuquerque, N.M., one brother, Clark Shipp and his wife Sandra of Palmdale, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Steven. A Memorial Service will be held 1 p.m., Thursday, June 13, 2013, at Halley Olsen Murphy, Lancaster Chapel. www.homlancaster.com
