Raised in western Oklahoma by her maternal grandparents, Augustus Orlando Miller, Sr. and Elizabeth Campbell York Miller, since her mother died in childbirth. First married Joseph Bradbury sometime before 1907. Had 2 sons, Chester and Paschal. By 1912, she was a widow, her youngest son and grandmother also passed away. She re-married George Amasa Phippen, Jr. (who adopted Chester), and had 2 more children, Ralph and Della Rose. They moved to Iowa between the births of Ralph and Della. She passed away in a hospital from pneumonia, leaving her husband and children.
