My friend David, like most everyone, had his demons but deep inside, lived a truly big hearted man who would always go out of his way to help those who needed help. He never met a stranger and is the only person I ever knew who could beat me to work when I could drive and he would hitchhike all the way from Morehouse. We shared a home with my son for a couple of years and we had our ups and downs but always seemed to work things out. He, in many ways was more of a brother to me than my own two good brothers... We didn't always see eye to eye on everything and I was known to tell him the truth when he would ask my opinion which often times was not what he wanted but needed to hear. He cared for the elderly and had an ear for them when they were around. He had such a sense of humor that anyone who knew him had to laugh and appreciate that spark he had. David, we miss you my friend and will never forget you. I am so glad you gave your heart to Jesus. He was always there for you and I know we will see each other again and share a laugh or too throughout eternity!
