● (Update 2021) FamilySearch states that his birth date was 3 November 1718. The source for this date is a website, ealgood.com, which lists William Allgood, born in 1718, along with brother, William John Allgood, born 30 November 1724. Both men married to a Mary Ann. According to the website it is implied that William (born 1718) was married to Mary Ann Hames, while William John (born 1724) was in the Revolutionary War. The dates are not sourced.
