J. N. Parker, eighty-eight, died at his home on Ashford, route two, Sunday afternoon after a long illness. He had been a resident of this community for the past number of years.
Funeral services will be held at the residence at 10 am Tuesday with the Rev. Houston Money and the Rev. W. L. Crawley officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashford Cemetery. Ward-Wilson officiting.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Ella Parker; a daughter, Mrs. R. V. Yon, Ashford; five grandchildren, Mrs. Anthony J. Roy, Dothan; Mrs. Carl Snellgrove, Panama City, Florida; Blondell Yon, Ashford; Hubert Yon, Ashford; and Eugene Yon, Merchant Marines.
Active Pallbearers are Carl Snellgrove, Anthony J. Roy. Lawrence Pitts, Reeves Cleveland, Lester Baell and Leonard Gilmore.
