Richard Reed, 55, Dies; Son Of Mary Ann Reed Of Bluffton.
A resident of Los Angeles, Calif., Richard B. Reed, 55, a son of Mrs. Mary Ann Reed of Bluffton, died at 1:45 a.m. Wednesday of complications due to a heart condition.
Mr. Reed suffered a heart attack in December, but had recovered sufficiently to resume his duties in a rare book store, Heritage Book Store, and did extensive traveling in his work.
Born Jan. 7, 1931 in Indianapolis, he was a son of the late Wendell D. Reed and Mrs. Mary Ann Huffman Reed of Bluffton, who is the only survivor. He never married. A brother, Dr. Thomas E. Reed of Indianapolis died Jan. 28 of this year.
The body is to be cremated with memorial services at a later date.
