A very much-loved husband and father, Stanley Lee Hickling passed away February 14, 2007 after nearly 81 full and productive years. He was raised on a farm in the town of his birth, Edmeston, N.Y. and served his country in the military traveling to many places in the world and retired as a Senior Master Sergent from the USAF. He supported the Berlin Airlift in 1948 at Burtonwood, England where he met and married his lifetime love. Later Mr. Hickling completed a second career as a manager of commissaries for the USAF as a GS-12. He was a Master Mason and served in Leander, Texas until 2004 and recently at the Ferry Pass Lodge of Pensacola. Stan is preceded in death by his parents Grover Hickling, Marion Hickling Rathbun, and his sister Marguerite Hickling. Stan leaves behind his English beauty of 55 years, Marjorie Hickling and their children, Carl Hickling (Carol), Linda Mulvihill (Rick), Nancy Hurn (Don), David Hickling and Michelle Preston (Ronnie) with fourteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren, sisters Mildred Lewis, Ella Simmons and Nina Ackerman. Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 17, 2007 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel in Pensacola, FL, with Chaplain Warren H. Davis officiating. Internment will follow at the Bayview Memorial Park Cemetery in Pensacola, FL. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to Ferry Pass Lodge #348, 106 Camden Road, Pensacola, FL 32534. He was our Daddy and we loved him. Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel in Pensacola, FL is in charge of arrangements.
