GEORGE E. WOOD DIES AT HOME FOLLOWING ILLNESS.

George E. Wood, an honorary
trustee of the Eastern Parkway
Methodist Church, died at his
home, 1049 Palmer avenue, on New
Year's afternoon following a short
illness.
Funeral arrangements which are being
made by Baxter's were incomplete
last night while the family awaited
word from the daughter, Miss Grace H.
Wood, a missionary teacher at EWA
University at Seoul, Korea.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth
Patterson Wood of Palmer avenue;
the daughter and a number
of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Wood was born Aug. 16, 1873
in the town of New Scotland,
Albany County and had lived in
this city the past 50 years.
He served as town clerk of the
town of Niskayuna a number of
years ago and was a retired
employe of the American Locomotive
Co.
A Member of Eastern Parkway
Methodist Church, he had
served as its treasurer for 21 years
and as an active trustee tor 42
years.

Funeral Rites Monday For George E. Wood
Funersl servicfs for George E.Wood
of 1049 Palmer avenue will he
conducted Monday at 1 p.m.
In Baxter's funeral home. He died
at home on New Year's Day.
The funeral home will be open
tomorrow from 7 to 9 p.m.
Burial will be in Clarksvllle.
Rev. Walter J. Whitney, pastor
of the Eastern Parkway Methodiet
Church will officiate at the tunersd,
Mr. Wood was honorary
steward of the church, and had
served as trustee and treasurer,
The funeral was delayed so his
daughter, Miss Grace Wood, could
arrive from Korea. She is a missionary
teacher of Ewah University
in Seoul.
