Ronald P. Brosseau, 71, of South Burlington, passed away unexpectedly Friday, April 23, 2010. He was born on June 23, 1938, in Burlington, the son of George and Loretta (Forcier) Brosseau.

On Dec. 22, 1960, Ron married the one true love of his life, my cousin Fran Irish, in Fort Huachuca, Ariz. Fran predeceased him on Nov. 25, 2008. He served in the US Army from 1960 to 1962.

Ron is survived by his three daughters, Kimberly A. Adams and her husband, Richard, of Westford, Diane Dwyer, and Debbie Gosselin and her husband, John, all of South Burlington; his five grandchildren, Kasey and Richard Adams Jr., Kristin and Jack Dwyer, and Chloe Gosselin.

A close family friend recently said this about Ron: "There are people you meet throughout your life experiences that you really enjoy spending time with and talking to." This was our dad. As were Ron's wishes, there will be no funeral service. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2010, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Ready Funeral and Cremation Service, South Chapel, 261 Shelburne Road, Burlington. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association, 1110 Prim Road, Colchester, VT 05446.
