Gretchen was born November 15, 1945 in Oakridge, TN. She was educated in the Clinton, TN grade schools and attended high school in Gastonia, NC. She married Robert L. Dickherber on April 24, 1965 in Hampton, VA. Gretchen was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Albany, IL. She loved to travel and enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events.
Survivors include her husband, Robert; two daughters, Tonya Sikkema of Jefferson, GA and Angela (Mrs. Dennis) Kline of Norcross, GA; one son, Patrick (Beth) Dickherber of Albany, IL; eight grandchildren, Alyssa and Lindsey Sikkema, Mariah and Israel Kline, Timothy, Trevor, Tanner and Tucker Dickherber, one sister, Edith (Mrs. Floyd) Goze of Bakersfield, CA; two brothers, Robert (Patsy) Mitchell of Highpoint, NC and Willie Mitchell of Raleigh-Durham, NC.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Gina M. Robson; one son, Robert Dickherber, Jr.; one brother, Carey Pope.
