Rebecca Jean Bowers, 48, of St. Marys, Ohio died Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at St. Ritas Medical Center, Lima, Ohio, following a brief illness.
She was born August 5, 1960 in Muncie, the daughter of Glen and Judy (Frazier) Cross, who now live in Winchester. She married Mark Bowers on November 21, 1992, and he also survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Joseph Dillow, South Bend, and a daughter, Heather Cross, St. Marys; a stepson, Shane Bowers, Wapakoneta, and a stepdaughter, Shonda Bowers, Perrysburg, Ohio; three grandchildren, Paige, Gage and Malichi Cross; her grandmother, Thelma Frazier, Winchester; three brothers, Scott (Anna) Cross and Marty (Wendy) Cross, all of Winchester, and Steve ()Janelle) Cross, Greenville, Ohio; her husband's grandmother, Ruth Raymond of St. Marys; and her inlaws, John and Jill Bowers, St. Marys. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, April.
Rebecca had attended Winchester Community High School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed computers and was a Club Pogo fan. She enjoyed riding motorcycles and cooking. She loved her grandchildren and spoiling all those around her.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., Tuesday, August 26 at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Rd., St. Marys, Ohio with Rev. Bill Maki officiating. Private family burial rites will be held at a later date. Visitation is 4-7 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home, where memorial donations may be directed to the American Heart Association. Condolences may be directed to the family via Millerfunerlahomes.net.
