William Riley Coffman born 10 Oct 1859 Lawden, Tn (Loudon County) died 26 July 1928, Perry, Iowa. When he was 18 years old he went to Missouri and there married 23 June 1880 SARAH MURR. Survived by her and 12 children: Walter C. Coffman, Adel; Charley H. Coffman, Mountain grove, Missouri; Mrs. James STOTTLEMYRE (Fannie), Chehallis, WA; Mrs. John MCKEE (Mary Ellen), Success, Missouri; Jack J. Coffman (James A. Jackson Coffman), Waukee; Alfred J. Coffman (John Alfred Coffman), address unknown (1930 was residing in Denver Colorado as a truck driver); Herman C (Herman Clarence) Coffman, Adel; Simon P. Coffman, Dallas Center; Ira Coffman (William Ira), Earlham; Mrs. Robert Percy (RACHEL ARTIE COFFMAN) Chehallis, WA: Cecil F. (Cecil Forest), Grimes; and Mrs. Floyd Renslow (Pearl Elizabeth Coffman), Waukee. (note: in 1930 Sarah was living with dtr Pearl)

Also survived by four sisters and one brother: Mrs. Hugh Malone, Mountain Grove, Missouri; MRS. JOHNATHAN MURR (Mary Ann Coffman) MT VERNON, WASHINGTON (where I have found their family living in Skagit Co. Jonathan is son of John Murr b abt 1826, and John is eldest son of Jeremiah Murr and Rachel Click). Mrs. Jennie Hull, Mrs Will Vanventer, and Mr. JOHN COFFMAN, (he married Sarah Murr's sister Dorcas Leanna Murr), all of Mountain Grove, Missouri.

He was a member of the Free will Baptist Church in Wright Co. Missouri. Burial at Panther Creek Cemetery.
