Born in Cass Co., Nebraska then moved to Oklahoma in 1905 with her parents. They settled west of Alva. On June 5, 1906 she was married to Walter King. They lived near Guymon for about five years and then returned to live west of Alva until 1941 when they moved to their present home. Mrs. King was a member of the Rebekah lodge for 50 years, and was a past noble grand in the lodge. She was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren church. Mrs. King resided at 812 Center St., Alva, OK at the time of her death. She died at Alva General hospital following a short illness at the age of 77 years.
