Earl was born in Pikeville, KY. His family then took the "Big Sandy" over to the Mississippi river where they loaded a barge and moved down to AR and then to OK. As an adult Earl trained horses, drove cars from OK & TX out to buyers in CA. Later in life Earl and brother bought and worked a farm in Woods Co., OK while all of the rest of their family moved to Commerce, LA County, CA. Their father was an auctioneer buying and selling land and mother ran a home for boarders and a horse stable while still living in Alva, Woods Co., OK.

Earl Keel Buckley, who was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney P. Buckley was born in Pikesville, Kentucky, Aug 2, 1896, and completed his stay upon the earth on Jan. 9, 1950, at his home, 530 ½ Flynn St., Alva, Okla.

When he was about 5 years of age he came with his family to Avard, Okla., and has made his home in Woods county in and around Alva ever since.

He was married first to Ethel Benson and they became the parents of one son, Harlan Earl Buckley, whose home is now at Borger, TX.

In a later marriage he took Adline R. Smith as his wife, who now survives him.

His immediate family consists of his widow, Mrs. Adeline Buckley of Alva,his son, Harlan Earl Buckley of Borger, Tex.

He has also three sisters: Fannie Fields, of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs.Opal Mercer, La Crescents, Calif., and Beulah Bliss of Eugene, Oregon. One brother, Leon I. Buckley of Siloam Springs, Ark., a step-brother Grayson Buckley in Illinois, and step-sister, Florence Brought of Albuquerque, also survives. He has two grandchildren and 28 nephews and nieces.
