Mrs. Edna J. Brumbelow, age 92, formerly of Zuker Road Rockmart, GA passed away Monday, October 1, 2012 in Emory University Hospital, Decatur, GA.

She was born in Canton, GA on February 1, 1920 a daughter of the late Avery Hope Jackson and Amanda Minton Jackson. Mrs. Brumbelow had lived the greater part of her life in the Aragon and Rockmart area where she was a member of the Aragon Baptist Church and Rockmart Chapter 321, Order of the Eastern Star. She was a former employee of the Aragon Mill, a former County Nutrition Aid and had served as an independent care giver for a number of years.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman "Freck" Brumbelow, a son, David Brumbelow, a granddaughter, Amanda Leigh Brumbelow, two brothers: James Jackson and Clifford "Sonny" Jackson and by two sisters: Louise Elliott and JoAnn Williams.

Survivors include three children: Jack Brumbelow, Dallas, TX, Mitchell Brumbelow, Rockmart, GA and LeAnne Brumbelow Kling, Atlanta, GA; two grandsons: Lee Brumbelow, Lindale and Kelly Brumbelow, Cedartown; one granddaughter, Anna Kling, Atlanta; two great grandchildren: Adison and Lily Brumbelow, Lindale; and one sister, Charlotte Rayburn, Kennesaw, GA.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 5, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Puckett officiating and her daughter LeAnne Brumbelow Kling delivering comments and a poem. Interment will follow in the Aragon Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include: Jeff Kling, David Chapman, Lee Brumbelow, Kelly Brumbelow, James Elliott, Jr. and John Elliott.

The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial gifts be made to the Aragon Baptist Church or the American Heart Association.
