Passed away suddenly Monday morning, February 27, 2006 as a result of an auto accident. Lori was born on September 24, 1970 in Anchorage, Alaska, and was raised in Ossineke, Michigan. Lori will be dearly missed by her adoring husband, Greg Cordes, whom she married on July 13, 1996 in Alpena, MI. Also surviving are her loving parents, Pete and Judy Banycky; and her brother, Bryan Banycky of Ossineke, MI; her grandmothers, Marion Miller of Alpena, MI, and Katharina Banyckyj of Yonkers, NY; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Nelson and Sandra Cordes; brother-in-law, Tim Cordes; sister-in-law, Kristine Cordes, all of Alpena, MI. She was preceded in death by 2 grandfathers, Ralf Miller and Saman Banyckyj. Lori graduated from Alpena High School in 1988, then attended Alpena Community College, Northern Michigan University, Saginaw Valley University and completed her education with a Masters in Business Administration from Baker College in 2000. Lori was formerly employed by Lear Corp. in Mendon, MI, and for the past 8 years Lori was a dedicated Employee of Parker Hannifin, HSD, as a Project Manager. Lori was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Paw Paw, and a recent Board Member of Trinity Lutheran School of Paw Paw, where she was so proud to serve God. Lori most enjoyed spending time with her husband Greg and their three dogs, Casey, Remmy and Lady. She was an avid outdoors fan and liked nothing more than back-country ski trips to Jackson Hole, WY with Greg, as well as water skiing, hunting and spending time with friends at their home on the lake. Lori was loved by all who knew her and will be extremely missed by her husband, Greg. The family will receive friends Friday morning 9-11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 721 Pine St., Paw Paw, followed by a Memorial Service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Mark Whittaker officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran School, Paw Paw. A Memorial Service will also be held Tuesday, March 7, 2006, 11 a.m. at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Alpena.
