Ione was the daughter of Otto Iverson Brack and Alma Josephine Fyrie. She married 1st Donald Whitfield Mears. She married 2nd Helmut Kadden, shortly after World War II. Helmut and Ione adopted a daughter, Stephanie Wanda Kadden. Ione was very involved with the Sons of Norway.
