Daughter of Benjamin Franklin Hopkins and Louise Kneebone Hopkins. She was a graduate of DeForest High School in 1920 and the University of Wisconsin in 1926. She taught high school English and French in Menominee, MI and Beloit, WI. She married John P. Kennedy on May 30, 1931 and they farmed in the town of Leeds for 45 years. She is survived by her husband and three daughters, Mrs. James (Mary Ann) Miller or Rio, Mrs. John (Jeanette) Thomas of Hanover, IN., Mrs. Stanley (Barbara) Shaw of West Bend; one sister, Harriet Hopkins of Madison, two brothers, William P. Hopkins of DeForest and Franklin P. Hopkins, of Salem, OR.; and 13 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son.
