Age 88, of Lockport, passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at Sunnyhill Nursing

Home in Joliet, just one day shy of her 89th birthday.

Anna is survived by her loving family which includes several nieces, nephews and extended family members of the Munchalfen, Else and Trantina families.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Marie Trantina; her loving husband, John F. Else (1984); one son, John "Jack" R. Else (1985); three sisters, Marie "Mae", Julia, Mildred; four brothers, William, Frank, George and Charles "Chuck".

Anna was born on December 27, 1917 in Homer Township. Her childhood home is currently being preserved as a historic landmark in Homer Township. She will be remembered for her quick wit and funny jokes. Anna was the Charter President of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Lockport Post #5788. She was very proud of this recognition and loved to see her picture prominently displayed at the VFW. Anna and her husband, John, owned the Dellwood Cafe in Lockport for many years. They retired and moved to Georgia. However, Anna was always a Lockport resident in her heart. Since her return to the Lockport area two and a half years ago she has resided in Sunnyhill Nursing Home in Joliet.

Family will receive friends at Goodale Memorial Chapel, 912 S. Hamilton Street, Lockport, on Saturday, January 20, 2007 from 10AM until time of memorial service at 12NOON at the funeral home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lockport VFW Post #5788, would be appreciated. Anna's family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to the Fifth Avenue Staff at Sunnyhill Nursing Home as well as the members of the Joliet Area Community Hospice.
