Edith McDuffie Walker
Clinton-Edith McDuffie Walker, 100, formerly of the Bush River section of Newberry County, died, March 30, 2010, in the Presbyterian Home of South Carolina, in Clinton.

She was born in Dillon, SC, November 26, 1909, to the late Dougal and Nora Miller McDuffie. Prior to her marriage, she was a member of Kentyre Presbyterian Church of Hamer, SC, but attended Bush River Baptist Church for most of her life. Mrs. Walker was a graduate of Newberry College and received her master's degree from the University of South Carolina. She taught school for many years at Bush River and she enjoyed her membership and patricipation in the Garden Study Club.

Mrs Walker is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, William W. "Bill" Walker.

A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 5:00 p.m Thursday, April 1, 2010, in Bush River Church Cemetery by the Rev. Brian Preston.

The family suggests memorials be made to Bush River Baptist Church, 8936 Bush River Road, Newberry, SC 29108.
