IN NORTH COUNTY

CHESTERTON, Jan 5,-- Mrs. Ida Matilda Anderson, 68, wife of Leonard Anderson of RFD 2, Chesterton, a life-long resident of Chesterton, died at 4:45 P.M. Friday in her home after a short illness.
The decedent was born in Chesterton July 2, 1883, a daughter of Swan August & Johanna Swanson. She was a member of the Augsburg Lutheran church of Porter and the Ladies' Aid and Missionary societies.
Surviving are the husband; daughter, Mrs. Margaret Hanaway, teacher in the Wheeler school; brother, Wesley Swanson, of Galesburg, IL., and two grandchildren.
Memorial services will be Monday in The Augsburg church, Porter, with Rev. Carl I. Fant officiating. Burial in Augsburg cemetery.
Flynn-Johnson funeral home is in charge.
