When Brian passed away I could not think of a more fitting place to scatter his remains than in the front of the library at the University of West Florida. As a young boy, the happiest days of his life were spent reading and roaming through the row of books in that library. At the age of nine, ten and eleven he was already intrigued with mythology, languages and religions. The most unusual thing he ever brought home from the library was a young exchange student from China. When he was about 10 years old he met her at the library and she had began teaching him to write Chinese. His love of learning never stopped.
A bench was placed in front of the steps to the library and a memorial plaque placed beside it.
