IN MEMORIAM,

Obituary for Terry Bushway
Marie Theresa “Terry” (Bosse) Norris Bushway, passed away with her family by her side on Monday, March 2, 2015. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Albert Norris, who predeceased her in 1970 and her second husband, Robert Bushway, who predeceased her in 2010.

Born in St. Agatha, Maine on April 6, 1931, she was one of fourteen children to the late Joseph and Deline (Chase) Bosse.

The Valedictorian of her class, she graduated from St. Agatha High School and moved to Connecticut shortly after, where she settled in New Britain and then Plainville and raised her family.

Terry lived a life full of compassion towards others as a longtime hairdresser and later through her work as a home health aid and hospice caregiver.

She was a devout Catholic and a member of Our Lady of Mercy Church for fifty years, where she was a dedicated volunteer, serving on many committees and was a founding member of the 1-2 Club in an effort to keep the OLM school open. She devoted much of her time to the Cursillo ministry.

Terry loved being surrounded by her family, especially spending "Memere" time with her adored grandchildren. They brought her the greatest joy. She will be greatly missed, leaving a legacy of kindheartedness and love, her incessant smile, and her warming hug, and many cherished memories.

Terry leaves her three sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Miranda Norris, Bob and Debbie Norris, and Allan and Julie Norris; her grandchildren, David and Colleen, Danielle and Johnathan, Sarah, Robert, Erica, Greg, Kristina, and Jessica; her step-children, Sandy Vining (Brunelle) Mowrey and her children, James, Jeffrey, and Michael; Bobby Bushway, Jr. and his children, Robert, III, and LaBelle; and Duane and Terri Bushway and their children, Scott, LaBelle, Nikia, and Allyson; along with several great-grandchildren and one on the way; her best friend and sister Joan and her husband Dave Oliveira, Herve and Correen Bosse, Jean and Conrad Cyr, and many, many other loving family members and friends.

Funeral services in celebration of Terry’s life will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. from Bailey Funeral Home, 48 Broad St, Plainville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Church.

Burial will be held privately at a later date. Family and friends may gather on Sunday, from 3-5 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, Terry’s work with the Visiting Nurses Assoc. may be remembered with contributions to the Hospice of Central Connecticut, 56 West Main St, Plainville, CT 06062.
