Born in Washington, D.C., on January 18, 1931, she was the daughter of the late William Roger Ellis and Mary Woodson Ellis. Also predeceasing her is her brother William "Bill" Roger Ellis, Jr.
Anne graduated from George Washington University in 1952 with a degree in American Thought and Civilization. Her working life began in Bethesda, Maryland as Writer and later Editor of the NIH Record. After moving to Charlottesville, she worked in Property Management.
Survivors include her daughter, Roberta A. Albright, of Charlottesville, her son, Geary E. Albright and his wife, Amy G. Albright of Crozet, VA and their sons, G. Samuel Albright and Jeffery E. Albright, and her daughter, Elizabeth A. White of Buxton, N.C. and her children, Anne C. Varney of Raleigh, NC, Grace M. White, and Porter N. White.
