‎ ‎ ‎ Graveside services for Hershel S. Catt, 86, of Federal Way, Wash., formerly of Caldwell, who died Sunday, May 29, at a Washington nursing home of natural causes, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, June 3, at the Canyon Hill Cemetery, Caldwell, under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
‎ ‎ ‎ He was born March 10, 1897, at Stillwater, Okla., to Francine and Job Catt, where he was reared and educated. He served in the Army during World War I. He married Florence Ellen Morris on April 16, 1923. He farmed in Oklahoma until he moved to Idaho in 1946.
‎ ‎ ‎ He lived in Twin Falls for 10 years before moving to Caldwell where he worked for the Caldwell housing projects from 1952 until retiring in 1956. He resided in Caldwell after his retirement for six years and then moved to Federal Way, Wash., where he resided until the time of his death.
‎ ‎ ‎ He is survived by one son, Leo Catt of Federal Way; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Ruby) Baber of Parma, and Mrs. John (Martha) Kelly of Seattle, Wash.; 14 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, and 13 step great-grandchildren.
‎ ‎ ‎ Friends may call at the chapel in Caldwell from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
