Russell Humbertson. aged 30, 321 Virginia Avenue, died this morning at 2:20 o'clock at the Washington County Hospital. Hagerstown, from injuries sustained when the automobile in which he, John C. Davis and Thomas Dicken, this city, and Miss Eloise Crowe were riding struck a culvert at Huyett's, six miles west of Hagerstown, while returnlng to this city.
Humbertson, who sustained a fractured skull and other injuries did not regain consciousness in the 77 hours intervening between the time of then accident and his death. Humbertson is survived by a wife and two children.
The body of Mr. Humbertson will be brought to Cumberland at 5 o'clock tonight over tho Baltimore & Ohio Railroad.
Mr. Humbertson is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. John Smith, this city and Mrs. Edward Coleman. Hazelwood. Pa., and four brothers. Azariah, Salem and William, this city and Frank Humbertson, Twiggtown. He is a son of Howard Humbertson, of Twiggtown.
Funeral arrangements have not been definitely decided upon.
Mr. Humbertson was a baker by trade having been employed by the Cumberland Bakery and Henry Nickel's bakery prior to becoming a chauffeur. He was well liked, especially by patrons of the Hudson Taxicab Company and by aulomobilists with whom he came in contact. He was spoken of as a fast but careful driver.
