Fred Allen Beane, born in Muskegon, Michigan, and living in Corinth, TX, passed into the arms of his Savior on Saturday, May 6, 2017. Fred had battled a rare form of Leukemia for 13 months, and he used every day and every opportunity he had to impact his family, his friends, his care-givers and the world in a positive way.

Fred is survived by a wonderful, devoted family. He will leave a tremendous void in the lives of each one, especially his loving wife, Linda.

Fred loved his children and grandchildren extravagantly, and he was adored by all. He was devoted and available, and totally present in the lives of all who knew him. Surviving are his son Jaret A. Beane and his wife, Dorothy Pedtke, and their three children; his daughter, Jennifer A. Cook and her husband, Shane Cook, and their five children; and his son, Matthew W. Peterson and his wife, Darcy, and their two children. Also surviving are his sister, Judy Lee, his sister and brother-in-law, Beth and Bob Paige; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. His greatest joy was having family around him, enjoying one another and being committed to loving relationships with one another.

Fred graduated from Orchard View High School in Muskegon, MI, and attended DeVry Tech in Chicago. He was a proud US Army Veteran, serving in Viet Nam as a member of a helicopter flight crew. He received an Associate in Business degree from Central Indiana Wesleyan University. He worked for GTE (Verizon) in Michigan, Indiana and Texas and retired in 1999. Having retired at an early age, Fred used his time to serve God and others, and he did so generously. Fred served in leadership roles in the various organizations and churches to which he belonged. He was a former assistant chaplain in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, a Charter Member and Board member of Flower Mound (TX) United Methodist Church, a devoted member of The Walk to Emmaus and Kairos of Texas communities, and a long time board member of the Long Lake Homeowners Association in Portage, MI. He was a student and a teacher of the Bible and taught in his church and in the Winter Texan RV community in which they lived for many years. He served at Rio Bravo Children's Home in Reynosa, MX and organized work teams to perform building and maintenance projects. Fred preferred to work in the background, humbly and faithfully giving of his time and talents. He was a member of RockPointe Church in Flower Mound, TX.

Fred’s favorite phrases:

I married up! I can fix that. Bummer. Ah Geeesch. I never dreamt this big.
Here fishy, fishy, fishy. If in fact... Go Blue! It costs how much? I am powerfully blessed. I love you.

Fred loved life! He knew how to have fun and did it often. His impact on his family, friends, and acquaintances cannot be measured. Fred lived his faith, and he encouraged others to do likewise. His favorite Bible verse was Micah 6:8:

He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
