In between working at John Morrells & Co. he served in World War II and the Korean War as a Radar Operator for the Navy Coast Guard.
In 1958 Leonard and Dolores eventaully settled down in Sioux Falls. Leonard retired from John Morrells receiving a merit for 39 years of safe work on August 31, 1985. Leonard had a passion for cars and cards.
Grateful for having shared his life are his nine children: Kathy Wink, California, Patty Brito, Steven Hodkinson, Marie Taylor, sharon Hodkinson, Vickie Risken, Keith Hodkinson, all of Sious Falls, Tony Hodkinson, California and Connie Hodkinson, Sioux Falls and also 19 grandchildren.
