TAYLOR, WARD THOMAS JR., passed away on February 5, 2014, at the age of 82. He was married to Mary Margaret Cebe Taylor for 57 years. Together they have six kids, four grandchildren and three stepgrandchildren.
Ward was a veteran of the US Marine Corps and served in the Korean War. He retired from the former Jefferson Co. Police force and was active in The FOP 614 Lodge, Knights of Columbus VFW Post #1181 and founding member of Our Lady Help of Christian Catholic Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alice Elizabeth Taylor and Ward Thomas Taylor Sr. and daughter-in-law Lisa Taylor.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; sons, Ward Thomas III and Michael Robert; daughters, Mary Pat Taylor, Betty Galligan (Louie), Kathleen Conner (Mark) and Theresa Morrison (Mike); grandchildren, Patrick and Jake Galligan, Christopher and Michelle Hawks, MacKenzie Conner, Shelby Smith and Sean Morrison (Kristy); brother Robert Paul Taylor (Nancy) and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Friday from 3-8 p.m. at the W.G. Hardy Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Services will be held on Saturday, 11a.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. Cremation was chosen and he will be interred on Tuesday at 11a.m. at the KY Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY.
Expressions of sympathy may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
