Cassandra was the daughter of George and R N Newman. George Newman owned the former Grable property during the late 1860's and early 1870's.

The Grable Cemetery is located on the South side of Crooked Creek Road, in Knob State Forest which is located in the Southern part of Bullitt County, Kentucky. It is on private property behind a locked gate. There is another way to access the cemetery, crossing a creek and a field and then climbing up a steep creek bank. The cemetery is covered with vinca and some of the gravestones have been broken by cattle. It is now fenced to keep the cattle out
