STEGER JOE A. 80 years old, passed away July 5, 2002 in Hayward, he was a resident of San Leandro for 45 years. He was born June 24, 1922 in Forth Worth, Texas. He worked for General Motors as an instructor for 35 years, and was a member of Hayward Church of Christ for 45 years. He is survived by his wife Mary Steger. Father of Charlotte Thrailkill of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Larry Steger of Riverbank, California. Brother of John Paul Steger of Dallas, Texas. Also survived by 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral Service Wednesday, 10:00 am, at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary.
